  I came here to take my parents out to eat. Thought I've passed this place many times before, this is the first time I stepped inside.
  
  I really liked their Japanese breakfast, which I actually prefer to the typical American breakfast. I love having a variety of savory dishes to start the day. The set I ordered had broiled mackerel, rice, egg, agedashi tofu, and pickles. It was delicious. My parents ordered udon and a fried oyster set. They both agreed the food was "not bad." This is basically a 4 star vote from them. My husband ordered a fish lunch special and loved it.
  
  The service was very prompt and polite. Though the food took a bit I know it's because they were making it fresh.
  
  This is a 5 from me because I'm not sure where else I can get a traditional japanese breakfast that doesn't break the bank.

  Excellent service and delicious food. The servers are really nice like how they are in Japan. This is what customer service should be like.
  The food is amazing. I had the veggie and shrimp tempura dinner.
  While I was eating I could also watch Japanese news to really feel the experience.
  I miss Japan everyday of my life.

  I ordered  broiled fish special.
  Came with choice  of soba or udon noodle  and choice of Salmon,Saba or Aji(hiraki) that day.
  Soba soup was too sweet(I picked Kanto style).
  And I choose Aji-Hiraki.
  Service was terrible. Just brought plates and check with $2. Extra charge for Aji witch the waitress didn't mention about extra charge.
  
  この店ではサービスの概念が食事を出す以外に無いのでチップは低くて良いようです。   コンビネーションの食事の種類が多いのが魅力的ですがお値段は相応ですのでお得感はありません。  レストランでのサービスを理解しているマネージャーとサーバーを入れたらいい店になるでしょう。 2019/8/31

  This is an authentic Japanese restaurant. It's a nice sit down restaurant. They have many tables. No exterior dining available.
  
  Complimentary hot tea was served. I ordered the lunch special, which differs by day. I just love lunch "sets."  It so reminds me of being in Japan. The chicken was battered in tempura. It was nice and tender, not dry at all. It comes on a bed of shredded cabbage. You get either a side soba or udon. I chose he udon, where you choose from either Osaka or Tokyo (sweeter) style. I opted for Osaka style. It was delicious.  It also comes with a side of miso soup. My meal was perfect for lunch!
  
  Service:  Friendly and efficient.
  
  Parking:  Free, shared strip mall.

  My wife had been raving about the "Japanese breakfast" here ever since she had it a few months ago. We had been to this restaurant for dinner several times in the past, but never for breakfast.
  
  To me, Japanese breakfast means fish, miso soup, and other foods I normally wouldn't associate with breakfast. I never really liked breakfasts in Japanese hotels because of that. So when we were in the area on a Saturday morning and my wife said "Japanese breakfast", my first thought was "No! I want American breakfast! I want pancakes! Waffles!  Anything sweet! NOT FISH!"
  
  However, my wife won, and we ended up at Fukagawa and I'm glad we did. I got the C combo (Rice, egg, miso soup, cold tofu and Japanese pickles), my wife had the mackeral ($12.95) and I had the steak ($14.75). Everything was so good! The steak, cut thin, was so tasty with just the right amount of salt and "char". I tried the saba and it was also perfectly prepared.
  
  Now I have a craving for Japanese breakfast and wish they had something like this in Orange County!!
